Support & Wellbeing

Cost of Living Support

We are always conscious about the cost of living for our families and we do the following to try and help wherever we can:

  • Uniform swap shop and branded uniform is not compulsory

  • No expectation for contributing money for non-uniform days and special events

  • We plan the number of special events to keep them to a reasonable number, and make no expectation that children have to wear certain things which might result in pressure on families to buy items

  • Families can make donations through Parent Portal if they wish, but there is no expectation to do so

  • Pupil Premium is used to cover some of the costs of educational visits

  • Information is provided (see below) on how families can save money or receive help

  • Vulnerable children are given priority for places in our Breakfast Club

  • We work with Greggs Foundation on providing financial support for essential household items

  • We provide devices on loan to help children complete home learning

  • We provide support to families in helping them to know which government financial support they are entitled to

Grants for Parents

We are allocated funds from time to time from the Greggs Foundation which are to support our families with things such as uniform, furniture, fridges, cookers etc. Sadly, we can only help a few families at a time, but if you are interested to know more, please contact the school and keep an eye out for messages from school.

Below are a number of organisations that can people in times of need. They all have different days and requirements, so please make contact with them before going to one. Click on the image to go to their website.
