Class Dojo and House Teams 🏆

We use ClassDojo as a way to communicate and celebrate learning in school. By joining your child’s class, you will be able to see updates, photos and messages about what is happening in the classroom, as well as receive important information from the teacher. You may also see points awarded to your child for positive behaviour, effort and demonstrating our school values. Joining ClassDojo helps you stay connected and involved in your child’s learning and school life.

All children from Year 1 - Year 6 belong to a house team, working together to earn points each week and win the house trophy in our Friday assemblies. Points are awarded on Class Dojo for positive behaviours such as kindness, effort and living out our school values.

Our four house teams are named after significant people from the history of Newton Heath, helping children feel a sense of pride, teamwork and belonging.

He donated a large stained glass window to the new All Saints Church when it was rebuilt.

Emmanuel Sivori started his ice cream business in 1910 when he moved to Manchester from the mountain village of Velva, near Genova.

Over the years the business grew to a point where there were many Sivori’s cafes and vans. One of the cafes was on Oldham Road in Newton Heath.

Lunchtime Competition!

This year, we introduced our Golden Ticket Table as part of our work to make lunchtimes even more positive and rewarding. Throughout the week, children are given dojos for demonstrating excellent behaviour, positive attitudes and following our school values during lunchtime. Those who receive the most dojos are invited to sit at the special Golden Ticket Table each Friday, making it a fun and exciting reward to look forward to.

It has already been a great success, with children showing fantastic behaviour and enthusiasm. We are really proud of how well everyone is responding—I wonder who will earn a Golden Ticket next term?

Friday Celebration Assembly!

Every Friday, we come together for our weekly celebration assembly to recognise and celebrate the many achievements across the school, all closely linked to our school values. Children are awarded Writer of the Week for creativity and perseverance, Maths Star for resilience and problem-solving, and Merit Certificates for demonstrating our core values such as respect, responsibility, and kindness. It’s a special time to share successes, build confidence, and celebrate the positive attitudes that help our whole school community thrive.

App Competitions!

Each week, we celebrate pupils’ achievements through our exciting app competitions. Children using Reading Plus are recognised for progressing through levels, while Spelling Shed rewards those who practise regularly and earn the most points. In Bug Club, we celebrate our most enthusiastic readers who complete the highest number of books each week. All of these fantastic efforts are recognised during our Friday celebration assembly, where children receive certificates to mark their success.
