Mathematics

Mathematics is a key part of our curriculum, helping children develop essential skills for life such as problem-solving, reasoning and logical thinking. At our school, we aim for all pupils to become happy, healthy and confident mathematicians who enjoy learning and feel able to tackle challenges with resilience. From Year 1 to Year 6, we follow the White Rose Maths scheme, which provides a structured and progressive approach, allowing children to build a deep understanding of mathematical concepts over time. Through engaging, inclusive teaching and the use of concrete, pictorial and abstract methods, we support all learners to succeed and develop confidence in applying their maths skills both in school and in everyday life.
