English
At All Saints C of E Primary School, English is central to our curriculum, equipping pupils with the skills to read, write, speak, and listen effectively. We aim to develop confident communicators and foster a love of reading through exposure to high-quality, diverse texts, helping children build vocabulary, creativity and understanding of the world.
Our teaching is immersive, inclusive and progressive, with reading, writing and speaking taught together through engaging, text-based units. A strong focus on phonics, spelling and handwriting supports early development, while lessons are carefully adapted to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring every child can succeed and be challenged.
Rooted in our Christian values of perseverance, respect and love, we nurture confident, resilient learners who take pride in their work. Our aim is for all pupils to leave All Saints as fluent readers, thoughtful writers and articulate speakers, ready for the next stage of their education and beyond.
